Created for The Selvage Shore, a special exhibition at NOMA Gallery exploring the quiet, elemental beauty of the coast in its off-season—its muted colors, shifting light, weathered textures, and lingering energy.
Sea Mist is a one-of-a-kind piece inspired by the moment when sea and sky seem to dissolve into one another. At its center is a rare white moss agate, opaque and milky like water veiled in coastal mist, with beautiful green inclusions that echo the movement of seaweed beneath the surface.
The stone is set in thick, handcrafted reticulated sterling silver—a special process in which the metal is heated until it melts and fuses into organic, unpredictable patterns. No two pieces of reticulated silver can ever be exactly alike. Here, the resulting surface feels almost elemental: ridged, fluid, and alive, like a wave caught in motion.
There is something wonderfully substantial about this piece. The silver is thick and tactile, carrying the weight and energy of the sea, while the soft, misted stone brings a sense of stillness.
Sea Mist is a small landscape in metal and stone—a piece made for the quieter side of the coast, when the crowds have gone, the air turns cool, and the waves seem to speak a little louder.

The Dwelling Gem ships world wide and here is our shipping policy breakdown:
Domestic Shipping (USA):
-Economy first class shipping will take 5-8 business days and is $7.50 which breaks down to appx. $5 for shipping and $2.50 for handling.
-Standard priority shipping/handling is $12.50 which breaks down to appx. $10 for shipping and $2.50 handling and packaging fee.
-Purchases totaling $300 or more automatically get free economy shipping, can contact us to pay additionally for priority or express shipping upgrade
For International Shipping:
-European countries, Canada, and South America:
If your purchase total is $200 or under you can opt for economy/first class shipping for $18. This will not come with tracking or insurance and if the package is lost or stolen it is NOT The Dwelling Gem's responsibility and therefore by selecting economy shipping you are taking on that risk and potential loss.
Purchases over $200 have to pay for priority shipping which is a flat rate fee of $40 but it is typically delivered within 2 weeks and comes with full tracking and insurance.
-For Australia, Japan, Africa, and other countries on the other side of the globe- priority shipping is the only option and there is a $55 flat rate shipping fee plus a $2 handling fee.
