Mismatched, but unmistakably belonging together.

Smoke & Coral is a handmade pair of drop earrings created from sterling and reticulated silver, featuring two distinctly different natural elements: black coral in one earring, and a black shell in the other, marked by a small patch of black coral growing across its surface.

The earrings are unified through their raw, organic textures. Reticulated silver climbs through each drop like coral sprawling across a sea floor, creating a sense of movement and growth against the dark natural materials. Nothing here is perfectly symmetrical — and that is exactly the point. Their differences make the pair feel alive.

These earrings were originally created for the 2025–26 Earrings Galore exhibition, presented by Heidi Lowe Gallery. The exhibition features contemporary jewelry artists from around the world, with approximately 60 artists selected from hundreds of applicants. Smoke & Coral was exhibited during New York City Jewelry Week and Munich Jewelry Weekas part of the exhibition's international journey.

Creating work for an exhibition of this caliber is an exercise in thoughtfulness, experimentation, and material storytelling. These earrings were made with that intention from the very beginning — not simply as adornment, but as small wearable sculptures with their own language of texture, contrast, and natural history.
