Salt Spires.

There are some pieces that feel like they carry a story inside them. Salt Spires is one of those pieces.

Handmade from sterling silver and reticulated silver, these sculptural earrings feature oversized chain links with fossilized belemnite (squid) spikes suspended from their bottoms. The fossils have an almost otherworldly quality — glowing with a warm amber-like radiance when caught in the sunlight, then transforming into a deep, leather-brown tone when they fall back into shadow. Their natural texture makes every pair completely unique.

These earrings were originally created for the 2025–26 Earrings Galore exhibition, presented by Heidi Lowe Gallery. The exhibition brings together contemporary jewelry artists from around the world, selecting approximately 60 artists from hundreds of applicants. As part of the exhibition, Salt Spireswas showcased during New York City Jewelry Week and Munich Jewelry Week as the exhibition traveled internationally.

That history is an important part of what makes these earrings special. They were designed and handmade with the same care, curiosity, and intention that went into creating work for an international contemporary jewelry exhibition.
